SOFF flanges, or slip-on flat-face flanges, are used to connect pipes, valves, and other piping components through a bolted joint. Their flat sealing face is suited to compatible flat-face mating components and gasket arrangements. The flange slides over the pipe and is welded into position according to the applicable design and installation requirements.
SOFF flange selection depends on nominal pipe size, pressure class, material, face finish, and dimensional compatibility. These flanges may be used in suitable water supply, utility, HVAC, and general industrial piping systems when the operating conditions and connected components are appropriate.
